| Selecting The Cabinet In 2001, in San Antonio Texas, representatives of Global Garden Projects, Inc. “Hope and Beyond Student Service-Learning Project” and administrators from the host school, Saint Mary's Hall High School, initiated the regional plan. The San Antonio student cabinet members were selected from the senior class in 2002, for “The Hope and Beyond Family HIV/AIDS Prevention, Awareness, and Testing Project-India”. Student Cabinet The student cabinet signed up people for the Run, networked with their peers, planned, organized students and solicited local endorsements, money, and in-kind support. The Student Cabinet initiated “The 2002 San Antonio Run for Hope and Beyond” as the run model for future Project fundraising and awareness events. The Run On September 21st, 2002, San Antonio high school students and public runners ran in the 2002 San Antonio Run for Hope and Beyond. Ernst and Young San Antonio representatives supported the Run Project with onsite oversight of registration, pledge contributions, and contributions accounting. Contributions are earmarked for “The Hope and Beyond Family HIV/AIDS Prevention, Awareness, and Testing Kit”, to be distributed free to the impoverished in India. The San Antonio offices of Ernst and Young are overseeing the contributions. • For the next generation of students, preparations for the September 20, 2003 San Antonio Run began in March 2003 with the newly selected student cabinet. ![]() ![]() |
