| Executive Summary The primary objective of the Hope and Beyond™ student service-learning projects is to mobilize high school students to become citizen diplomat role models by participating in projects designed to strengthen global relations and address issues of humanitarian concerns. The Project's objective is to reach out to the culturally diverse student audience by producing a variety of celebrity highlighted multimedia events. These events will provide students with a global platform to express their ideas and present student service-learning project solutions to humanitarian problems. The Project is designed to create opportunities for student service-learning that will heighten awareness of global responsibilities. Project participation gives students a sense of their ability to effect change and provide a learning experience for the next generation student. This will provide valuable personal insights into issues of both personal and humanitarian concerns. The distribution of The Hope and Beyond Family HIV/AIDS Prevention and Awareness Testing Kit to India is the first step of Global Garden Projects' Hope and Beyond Projects' international health related student service-learning projects. The kit will be distributed free to the impoverished by healthcare workers in India. The Kit contains an HIV oral test unit, medical facts, resources, and treatment information concerning HIV/AIDS prevention, awareness, and testing. It will include a hand sized, self-contained testing unit, to enable healthcare workers in remote areas to test oral fluids onsite for HIV antibodies. This recently developed test shows results on site within 20 minutes. This test provides detection of the hidden, a-symptomatic HIV/AIDS infection in the incubation stage. Early detection, follow-up treatment, and education to overcome misconceptions will assist in preventing the further spread of the disease until a cure can be found. Internet, live events, radio and television broadcasts will be the principal means of delivering the Hope and Beyond™ student service-learning project message.
